How to download Instagram content
This guide works for public posts on phones and computers. You do not need an account or an app.
On a phone
- Open the Instagram app and find the public post or Reel.
- Tap the share icon, then choose Copy link.
- Open your browser and go to the downloader.
- Tap Paste, allow clipboard access if asked, then choose your file.
On a computer
- Open the post on instagram.com and copy the address from the browser bar.
- Paste it into the box on the downloader and press Enter.
- Click the file you want. It will save to your Downloads folder.
Choosing a format
Videos show every quality we find, highest first. Audio downloads are MP3 files at 320 kbps. Photos from carousel posts appear as separate files.
Troubleshooting
- If nothing appears, check that the post is public and the link is complete.
- Private accounts cannot be downloaded.
- Stories are downloaded on the Stories page. Profile pictures are not supported yet.
